FAQs

Questions contractors ask before setting up Receiptly.

Answers to contractor questions about Receiptly plans, trials, receipt scanning, project costs, crews, estimates, invoices, PDFs, and sales tax setup.

Is Receiptly only for scanning receipts?

No. Receiptly connects receipts to projects, budgets, crews, labor, estimates, invoices, PDFs, and client records so the job stays organized in one workspace.

Can I send estimates and invoices from Receiptly?

Yes. You can send estimates through secure approval links, email invoice PDFs, and keep receipt support tied to draft invoices before sending.

Do all plans include the same features?

Yes. Plans are based on user count and monthly receipt scan volume. Core project, document, crew, schedule, labor, and billing tools are included.

Can field crews use Receiptly too?

Yes. Owners and managers can invite team members, assign project access, and let employees use the mobile app for field receipts and work updates.

How does Receiptly handle sales tax?

Canadian workspaces can store GST/HST details and a manual tax rate. Billing documents then ask whether each line is taxable instead of making the user re-enter tax setup every time.

Does Receiptly collect online payments?

No. Receiptly currently records external payments and receipts without adding online checkout to your customer documents.
