Terms of Service
Read the terms for Receiptly accounts, contractor workspaces, subscriptions, customer records, estimate and invoice delivery, and acceptable service use.
The person creating a workspace must be authorized to act for that business.
Receiptly receives only the limited rights needed to host, process, and deliver your content.
Receipt extraction, totals, estimates, invoices, and reports must be checked by an authorized user.
By creating an account, accepting an invitation, purchasing a subscription, or using Receiptly, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. If you use Receiptly for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Receiptly provides tools for contractor workspaces to organize projects, receipts, project media, schedules, crew time, budgets, estimates, invoices, recorded external payments, and reports. Features and limits depend on the selected plan and user role.
Receiptly does not collect client invoice payments or process payroll. Payment records and labor totals are business records entered or approved by workspace users.
Keep login credentials secure, provide accurate account information, and notify Receiptly promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.
Workspace owners control roles, invitations, project assignments, exports, subscriptions, and deletion. Owners are responsible for giving access only to authorized people and removing access when it is no longer appropriate.
Current plan features, usage limits, prices in Canadian dollars, applicable taxes, billing frequency, and any trial terms are presented on the pricing page or at checkout. Stripe processes subscription payments; Receiptly does not store full payment-card numbers.
When you start a paid subscription, you authorize the recurring charges disclosed at checkout until the subscription is cancelled. Workspace owners can manage or cancel billing through Receiptly settings and the Stripe customer portal. The cancellation date, remaining access, refunds, and any price change will follow the terms shown at checkout, in the billing portal, and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
Receiptly may restrict paid features when a trial ends, a plan limit is reached, or payment remains overdue. We will not add unavoidable non-government charges after a price has been presented for acceptance.
You retain ownership of the records, images, documents, names, logos, and other content added to a workspace. You give Receiptly a limited permission to host, copy, process, transmit, back up, display, and delete that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested service.
You confirm that you have the rights, notices, and consents needed to add and use the content, including employee time or location information and client contact or document information. Do not upload passwords, full payment-card details, social insurance numbers, or other highly sensitive information that the feature does not require.
Automated receipt extraction and generated totals may be incomplete or inaccurate. An authorized user must review source images, extracted fields, tax treatment, project assignments, hours, totals, and customer documents before relying on or sending them.
Receiptly is not an accounting, tax, legal, payroll, or financial adviser. Estimates, invoices, profitability views, tax calculations, and payment records are workspace tools, not professional advice or a guarantee that a document is legally enforceable or compliant.
Workspace users choose the recipients and content of estimate links, invoice PDFs, invitations, and other requested messages. The business is responsible for recipient accuracy, authority to contact the recipient, document terms, recordkeeping, and compliance with applicable commercial-email rules.
Delivery status does not guarantee that a recipient read, accepted, or legally agreed to a document. Secure client links are intended for estimate review and response; invoices are delivered by email as PDF documents.
Use Receiptly only for lawful business purposes. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, probe security controls, send spam, upload malicious code, infringe another person’s rights, or use content you are not authorized to process.
You may not resell or copy the service, reverse engineer protected parts of it except where law permits, or use automated access that unreasonably burdens the service.
Receiptly relies on third-party services for hosting, storage, authentication, receipt processing, maps or address lookup, email, notifications, and subscription billing. Their availability and separate terms may affect a related feature.
Links to third-party services do not make Receiptly responsible for their independent products, content, or privacy practices.
Receiptly may perform maintenance, correct defects, change a feature, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary. The service may occasionally be unavailable, and no uninterrupted or error-free operation is promised.
Keep exports or other copies required for your business, tax, employment, or legal obligations. Receiptly’s operational backups are not a substitute for your own record-retention process.
Receiptly may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address non-payment, plan limits, security risk, unlawful activity, misuse, or a material breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
You may stop using Receiptly, cancel a subscription, export available records, or delete a workspace according to the controls provided. Deletion is permanent, subject to limited retention described in the Privacy Notice or required by law.
Receiptly and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and related intellectual property, excluding customer content. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is authorized and compliant.
If you provide product feedback, Receiptly may use it without restriction or payment, without identifying you publicly unless you agree.
To the extent permitted by law, Receiptly is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Receiptly disclaims implied warranties that can legally be disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
You are responsible for business decisions, source documents, user permissions, customer communications, statutory records, and compliance obligations. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Receiptly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data arising from use of the service.
To the extent permitted by law, Receiptly’s total liability for claims connected with the service will not exceed the amount paid to Receiptly for the affected workspace during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where applicable law prohibits it.
Receiptly may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available here. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate service notice and will apply prospectively as required by law.
